Featuring Brittany Winston

Hello, Brittany! Can you tell our readers more about you?

I was raised in the small town of Mccomb, MS. I am very much a homebody, but I also enjoy traveling and spending time with my family. Growing up, I've always enjoyed writing even as an adolescent. First, it started with me drawing on myself...A LOT! Next, it turned into me doodling on everything, anytime I could get my hands on a pen and a piece of paper, I would just write. Then, as I got older, I began journaling. Journaling was a way for me to release emotions that I didn't know how to properly articulate. It's also my way of communicating with God. Eventually, my journaling turned into poems or even songs that expressed my gratitude to God.

Tell us more about your book and your journey as an author.

My book is encouraging, transparent, and uplifting. I wrote the book to help every person who ever felt as though their life was insignificant or that their situation could never change. I prayed that my transparency would give hope and newfound strength to keep fighting. I wanted to show readers that God is still delivering, still mending broken hearts, and still able to change your life for the better. However, it's going to take obedience to see that change take place. My book walks you through some of the necessary steps needed to begin your journey to finding your sole purpose on the Earth.

Becoming an author has opened doors for me to be able to share my story with others. I've received feedback from individuals young and old on how my story encouraged them. It was then that I knew my life was never insignificant and that everything I've endured was for this very moment. The most rewarding part of being an author is being able to share the goodness of God through my testimony. Sharing how God has guided me through difficult seasons in

my life gives me the strength to keep going.

What would you say to the individual that wants to write a book, but fear has bound them from moving forward?

I would say to just do it, even while they're afraid. There's a popular acronym for fear: False Emotions Appearing Real, meaning that it's only an illusion. The more you do the things that you fear, the more you'll see that it's all in your head. Trust that God has given you words that will help change not only your life, but also someone else's life.
